Abstract： [Purpose/Significance] First-class university libraries in foreign countries are gradually embedding in the core position of the academic life cycle. This new trend has resulted in a number of new practices. This paper discusses this innovation direction and possibility in the process of library transform by focusing on a highlighted case. [Method/Process] By using web research and literature research methods to conduct a case study, the paper introduced the ETH Library Lab innovation project of ETH-Zurich, conducted in-depth analysis from top-level design, operation mechanism and project results, and fully presented its forward-thinking innovation in scientific research service transformation. [Result/Conclusion] Phased results of ETH Library Lab provide two valuable key points to domestic university libraries: First, libraries should strategically sort out their value contribution points in the academic life cycle and focus on empowerment. Secondly, on the choice of paths for library transformation and innovation, libraries can actively seek external cooperation and carry out interdisciplinary innovation by setting up a relatively independent project team.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] An essential part of special collections department’s work is to routinely update metadata that is unique to special collections: Paper, Printing, Genre, Binding and Provenance Evidence, etc. Librarians can frequently encounter books with an only vague recording of its history before collected into the repository in university libraries. [Method/process] This paper introduced the case of collecting, analyzing and utilizing the stamp and signature information of single volume and books in Fudan University Library. In addition, the data mining was carried out for the stamp and signature without records. [Result/conclusion] Through small sample tests, the researcher has proved the attempt successful using sample data. The basic designing of the database and work process is also illustrated.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] Comply with the national intellectual property strategic planning and policies development, and improve the practice development of library-led intellectual property information service centers in China’s academic universities. [Method/process] This paper explores the current situation of intellectual property information services in 102 academic universities through the network research and provides some solutions to the intellectual property information service centers of academic universities. [Result/conclusion] In order to further promote the construction of the intellectual property information service centers of academic universities, we need to pay attention to the following aspects: management policies, institutional settings, functional roles, cooperative organizations and service content systems.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] Actively carrying out all kinds of maker activities to improve students' maker literacy meets the requirements of the new era for the cultivation of university students. This paper puts forward the specific strategies of carrying out the maker literacy education in university library, providing references for university libraries to construct makerspaces and carry out the maker literacy education.[Method/process] This paper tries to summarize and analyze the connotation and definition of the maker literacy. Based on this, using the questionnaire survey method and taking Fudan university as an example, this paper investigates the situation of university students' maker literacy, their attitude to the library makerspace and all kinds of maker activities and other basic situations of university library's maker literacy education development.[Result/conclusion] This paper proposes some strategies of carrying out the maker literacy education including actively creating the hardware environment that meets the needs of our users, establishing a diversified and flexible maker foundation course system, building a guiding service system, and encouraging students to organize themselves.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] While provide service for teaching and scientific research, the American university libraries also attach great importance to social service, and expand innovation and transformation in the era of "Internet +". The social service in American university libraries developped early, of high degree of openness, wide service target diverse service content and various service mode, gradually formed the mature characteristic service pattern, which may provide reference for Chinese university libraries' social service development innovation practice.[Method/process] In 2016, the authors investigated the practical activities of the social service innovation in many university libraries in the United States and visited the librarians who have engaged in social services. Under the guidance of the American library librarian, the paper designed the online questionnaire.Based on the investigation results, this paper analyzed the current situation, innovation practice and development mode of social service in the United States University Library Alliance.[Result/conclusion] The road of social service innovation development of Chinese university libraries needs to pay attention to the following aspects:focus on the openness of different social groups;promote the innovation of library resources open access mode;to realize the sharing of resources through various means;expand the source channel of library funds;construct a new social service model suitable for China's national conditions.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] At the present stage, the data opening of major public health emergencies is faced with many difficulties, such as low public participation, poor data utilization and imperfect platform services. This paper introduces the citizen science mode to build an open service ecosystem, aiming to provide ideas for breaking the deadlock in the development of open data on major public health emergencies.[Method/process] This paper clarified the main elements and implementation processes of citizen science projects in the context of open data on major public health emergencies, and explored the citizen science operation model. On this basis, the study systematically sorted out key elements such as stakeholders, value creation models, constraints and promotion systems. Finally, an open data service ecosystem for major public health emergencies was comprehensively constructed.[Result/conclusion] In this service ecosystem, the citizen science mode is the infrastructure, and the open data platform for major public health emergencies is the key node. By providing all-round service contents, targeted system constraints and promotional mechanisms, this system guides the public, various industry institutions and professionals to interact and cooperate at the levels of macro, meso and micro, integrate their own advantageous resources and carry out service exchange and complementarity, so as to achieve value creation. The results of this paper will help to improve the social participation and utilization of open data, and provide an action reference for the construction of the service system and optimization of the service level of open data platform for major public health emergencies.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] This paper aims to provide a reference for the construction of relevant think tanks by summarizing and analyzing the status quo of think tank services for major public health emergencies at home and abroad.[Method/process] By literature research and website survey, the research investigated the services provided by think tanks for major public health emergencies, including in-depth analysis of 35 key think tanks.[Result/conclusion] The relevant think tank services are classified into three basic types:decision-maker-oriented, professional-and-practitioner-oriented and public-oriented. The research delivers a summary about the commonalities and typical service practice of different think tank services, and points out the gap in themes, contents and forms of think tank services at home and abroad. Finally, the research puts forward the proposals to develop new think tanks with Chinese characteristics for major public health emergencies from three aspects of service design, activity principle and mechanism guarantee.
