Abstract: [Purpose/significance] An influential factor interpretation structure model focused on the elderly information need is proposed in this paper. It is used to analyze the causal relationship among different factors and their influences exerted on the elderly information needs. [Method/process] Based on the relevant research achievements, this paper identifies 20 influence factors of the elderly information needs through the first round of expert investigation. Then this paper identifies the relationship of the influence factors and establishes adjacency matrix through the second round of expert investigation. Based on these, the adjacency matrix is calculated to get the reachability matrix. By decomposing the reachability matrix, we divide the influence factors into five levels and establishes the interpretive structural model about the elderly information needs, which can be employed to analyze the hierarchical relationship of influence factors and their influence on the elderly information need.[Result/conclusion] The influential factors of elderly information needs can be divided into surface-level, middle-level and deep-level factors. To be more specific, the surface-level factors refer to the most direct factors of elderly information needs; the lesser one is identified as middle-level factor; the core factor of elderly information needs is regard as deep-level factor.

  • A Cross-platform Comparative Study of Reviews on Sharing Accommodation and Hotels Reservation Platform:Combined with LDA-SNA and Sentiment Analysis

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Information Science submitted time 2023-04-01 Cooperative journals: 《图书情报工作》

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] There may be substitutability and complementarity between shared accommodation and hotel reservation platforms. However, there is still a lack of discussion on which products and services this kind of substitutability and complementarity are embodied in. Therefore, a cross-platform comparative analysis is needed.[Method/process] In this paper, 86 635 reviews of relevant rental rooms in Beijing were collected from Ctrip.com and Xiaozhu.com. The cross-platform comparative analysis of online reviews is further carried out by integrated latent dirichlet allocation (LDA), social network analysis (SNA) and sentiment analysis.[Result/conclusion] The study found the similarities and differences of the two platforms' users in the comment theme, social network and the emotion of each topic, and further explained the substitutability and complementarity of the two platforms in products and services from the perspective of users' online reviews. The results of this paper also provide important practical reference for platform managers to develop and improve accommodation products and services.
