On the afternoon of May 6, 2024, the expert exchange symposium on "Peer Review and Efficient Publishing of Preprints" jointly organized by ChinaXiv, F1000 Open Publishing Platform, and Taylor&Francis Group was successfully held. Experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the PLA General Hospital and other units in scientific research, science and technology management, as well as members of the conference organizers, carried out full exchanges and discussions around the ChinaXiv-F1000 preprint open peer review pilot project and preprint peer review. The attending experts fully recognized the value of open peer review of preprints and provided valuable suggestions for the operation of pilot projects. Next, the project will be further optimized and improved based on expert opinions, continuously meeting the needs of Chinese researchers for open academic exchange of preprints.
