On April 19, 2025, the "2025 Forum on Publishing the Reprint Index of Copying Newspapers and Periodicals and Building the Preprint Platform" with the theme of "Academic Journal Development and Preprint Platform Construction" was jointly held by the Document Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "Document Center"), the Information Center of the People's University of China and the Open Science Professional Committee of the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology Information. Director Liu Xiwen of the Literature Center attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Liu Xiwen pointed out that open science has brought significant changes to the mode of academic exchange, and preprint platforms are an important component of the academic exchange system. The Documentation Center will continue to promote the integration and development of the "Chinese Academy of Sciences Scientific and Technological Paper Pre release Platform ChinaXiv" and the "PubScholar Public Welfare Academic Platform", and strive to build an open academic exchange system that meets the international development trend and national strategic needs.
Zhang Zhixiong, Deputy Director of the Literature Center, delivered a keynote speech titled "Adhering to the Mission Positioning of Strategic Technological Strength and Promoting the Construction of an Open Academic Exchange System".
During the conference, activities such as strategic cooperation signing between the Documentation Center and the Book and Newspaper Data Center of Renmin University of China, academic discussion on the sub forum of "preprint platform and new ecology of open academic exchange" were also held.
