Research on the Knowledge Service of Think Tanks in Publishing Industry

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] On March 20, 2018, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television issued the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Press and Publication Think Tanks." The opinion puts forward that we must improve the service capacity of professional think tanks and work hard on knowledge services. Based on this background, this paper investigates the current status of knowledge services in publishing industry think tanks in China, summarizes the existing problems, and proposes targeted measures to solve the existing problems. [Method/process] This paper obtains relevant research materials of knowledge services in publishing industry think tanks through literature research, and summarizes the development status and existing problems through network research. [Result/conclusion] Through the investigation and analysis, it finds that China's publishing industry think tanks have formed various types of knowledge service subjects, and some research groups with publishing industry think tanks as the core have emerged. The content and products of knowledge services provided by publishing think tanks are gradually enriched. But there are also problems such as poor platform construction, low level of personal knowledge services, and insufficient cooperation among think tanks. This paper proposes feasible solutions and countermeasures to these problems.
