Exploring the F1000Research open publishing model from an open science perspective

Abstract： [Objective]To provide reference for enhancing domestic open publishing by analysing F1000Research’s open publishing practices.[Methods]To conduct an in-depth analysis of the platform's open publishing and its included practices of open access and open peer review, and to summarize the general rules of the achievements of the platform's publishing practices ,and to draw inspiration for the development of open publishing in China. [Conclusion]Open publishing is no longer limited to open access publishing, but should fully integrate multiple open science’ s elements and strive to realize the openness of the publishing process. The platform publishing coordinates multiple elements of open science, realizes the concretization of open science feature-s, explores innovative open publishing models, and uses multiple forces to solve the drawbacks of the current preprint platforms and peer review as well as to cope with the crisis of reproducibility of research results, promoting a highly open publishing process and social sharing of publishing results, and providing a paradigm for the development of open publishing in China.
