  • Personalized Recommendation Based on User Decision-making Mechanism

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The purpose of this paper is to propose an optimization strategy of features choosing and weight computing for content-based personalized recommendation.[Method/process] This paper proposes a personalized recommendation model based on user's decision-making mechanism, which takes user decision mechanism as background knowledge in features selection, user interest profile construction and semantic representation, and user decision function construction. To test this model, this paper conducts an experiment taking 4 748 users as sample, vector space model as reference model, and P@N as evaluation index.[Result/conclusion] The results show that, in the cases of N equals 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, the personalized recommendation model based on user decision-making mechanism is significantly better than the vector space model, and the effectiveness of the model is verified.

  • User's Cognitive Schema for Information Resources: Influencing Factors, Analysis Methods and Application Value

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] According to cognitive psychology and cognitive science, cognitive schema plays a fundamental role in individual cognition and decision-making. Therefore, study on user's cognitive schema for information resources can be helpful for understanding user's information behavior more deeply, optimizing information resource management and information literacy education.[Method/process] Referring to the concept of schema, this paper firstly analyzed the connotation and characteristics of user cognitive schema for information resources, then analyzed its influence factors and proposed data-driven analysis methods, and discussed its application value in information resources organization and service, and information literacy education.[Result/conclusion] User's cognitive schema for information resources is influenced by resources, users themselves and systems; under big-data environment, UGC and behavior log data-driven methods should be adopted to analyze group and individual users' cognitive schemas for information resources efficiently and quantitatively; and in terms of application, user's cognitive schema for information resources can be helpful to understand the mechanism and rules of user's information behaviors, construct metadata framework from the perspective of user cognition and provide precise and smart services, and can also be helpful for research and practice of information literacy education.

  • Research on Faceted Search of Government Open Data

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] A government open data faceted system and a government open data faceted search model for faceted search are constructed to optimize user experience.[Method/process] Based on the characteristics of government open data, a faceted system was constructed. On this basis, a faceted search model of government open data was constructed, and the prototype system was implemented to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of the model.[Result/conclusion] The realization of the prototype system proves that the constructed government open data facet system can effectively help users to explore and screen search results. The proposed faceted search system model has a good user experience, which is convenient to use and can avoid the problem of information overload.
