  • The Optimization Path of Ideological and Political Education in China’s University Libraries under the Perspective of “Great Ideological and Political Course”

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance]The “Great Ideological and Political Course” is a major theoretical and practical innovation to promote the innovation and development of civic and political education in universities in the new era. University libraries to carry out ideological and political education in the “Great Ideological and Political Course” perspective is not only to play the function of attributes, adapt to the inherent requirements of the development of the times, but also to return to the education of this position, the implementation of the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education important initiatives.[Method/process]This study takes the libraries of 42 “first-class” universities in China as the research object, and researches the ideological and political education activities, space construction, and service mode of educating people in university libraries through literature research, network research and other methods.[Result/conclusion]The research found that the current ideological and political education carried out by university libraries is characterized by diversified educational activities, spatial nurturing characteristics, and synergistic nurturing mode. The article puts forward the practical path of strengthening and improving ideological and political education in university libraries from the perspectives of building a model of ideological and political education, constructing a brand of ideological and political education, exerting the effectiveness of space, and creating a collaborative community of education, with a view to providing references for the innovative development of ideological and political education in university libraries in the new era.
